Maggie for NH has once again broken New Hampshire fundraising records, announcing today that the campaign had raised $4.3 million in the first quarter of 2022 and had $7.5 million cash on hand.
No candidate besides Senator Maggie Hassan has ever received more support in a fundraising quarter in New Hampshire history — with this quarter’s total ranking only behind what Maggie for NH raised in the third and fourth fundraising quarters in 2016. It is also the highest cash on hand total that any New Hampshire Senate campaign has ever had at this point in the campaign cycle.
Maggie for NH has now broken New Hampshire fundraising records for six quarters in a row — putting Senator Hassan in a commanding position in her re-election.
“Our campaign’s record-breaking support will ensure that we can reach Granite Staters in every corner of the state and amplify Senator Hassan’s record of taking on corporate special interests to lower costs for New Hampshire families,” said Maggie for NH Campaign Manager Aaron Jacobs. “While the Republican primary candidates navigate a four, and potentially five, person primary, our campaign remains laser focused on lifting up Senator Hassan’s record of getting results for New Hampshire.”
Ninety-five percent of contributions this quarter were $100 or less and the campaign has now received contributions from at least 228 cities and towns across New Hampshire.
The latest strong fundraising quarter comes as Senator Hassan continues to be a leader in the Senate in taking on corporate special interests like Big Oil and working to bring down costs for New Hampshire families. She has proposed a gas tax holiday to help provide Granite Staters relief at the pump, successfully pushed the Biden administration to release more oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and taken on Big Oil for posting record profits while gas prices remain sky high. Senator Hassan is also pushing to lower the cost of prescription drugs and negotiating bipartisan legislation to advance American manufacturing and bring our supply chains back home.
Maggie for NH continues to build the infrastructure to reach voters in every corner of the state. In March, Maggie for NH placed $13 million in initial ad reservations — ensuring it will be able to communicate directly with Granite Staters about Senator Hassan’s record of getting results for New Hampshire. And just this weekend, Senator Hassan opened the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s first field office in Manchester, with additional offices set to open across the state in the coming weeks and months.
