Maggie For NH today announced its first television ad of the 2022 cycle, highlighting Senator Hassan’s personal commitment to working across party lines to deliver for New Hampshire veterans. In the ad, which features a testimonial from Bronze Star recipient and Army veteran Ed McCabe of Dover, Senator Hassan talks about her father’s military service at the Battle of the Bulge in World War II — and how that service drives her bipartisan work to get results for veterans.
“My dad survived the Battle of the Bulge. He came back determined to make sure that our country was worthy of the sacrifice he had seen on the battlefield,” Senator Hassan says in the ad. “Our job is to make our country ever worthy of that service.”
“Senator Hassan understands what her father went through. She knows veterans aren’t Republican or Democrat,” Bronze Star recipient Ed McCabe says in the ad. “She says they all fought for this country… And she’ll work with anyone to solve issues for veterans.”

Senator Hassan worked across the aisle to lower taxes for Gold Star families, expand veterans’ access to mental health care, and ensure that all veterans can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at VA facilities. Senator Hassan also helped pass the bipartisan Deborah Sampson Act, helping remove barriers to care facing women veterans, and the bipartisan Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act, which will reduce wait times at the VA and make it easier for veterans applying to receive benefits. As a member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, the Senator is working with both parties on legislation to help veterans transition into the civilian workforce and to support rapid search-and-rescue efforts to help locate at-risk veterans when they go missing.
Ads will run on broadcast TV stations as well as on cable, radio, and online.
