Kevin Smith Joins Don Bolduc in Opposing Bipartisan Bill to Take On China, Lower Costs, and Make More Critical Technology in America

Meanwhile, Chuck Morse STILL Has Not Told Granite Staters How He Would Vote on the Bipartisan Innovation and Competition Bill

This morning, Kevin Smith joined Don Bolduc in siding with the Chinese Communist Party in opposing bipartisan legislation that would help the United States take on China and lower costs by making more critical technology like semiconductors in America. In a radio interview, Kevin Smith called the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act – which 17 Senate Republicans and 24 House Republicans voted for – a “terrible idea.”

“Kevin Smith and Don Bolduc have now both said they would vote ‘no’ on critical legislation to make more semiconductors in America and outcompete China,” said Maggie for NH spokesperson Kevin Donohoe. “While Senator Hassan is taking on China and making sure we make more things in America, her opponents are siding with the Chinese Communist Party by opposing this vital, bipartisan legislation.”

While Bolduc and Smith oppose this legislation, Chuck Morse has not told Granite Staters how he would have voted on the bipartisan competition bill. Earlier this week, Don Bolduc tweeted he would vote “hell no” on the legislation, which passed both the House and Senate with bipartisan support. The bill now heads to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.
