In case you missed it, on Friday, Senator Maggie Hassan went on NH Today with Chris Ryan and drew a sharp contrast between her record of fighting to lower costs for Granite Staters, and her opponents’ agenda of standing with corporate special interests. During the show, the Senator also called out Don Bolduc for being “too extreme for New Hampshire.”
On Her Opponents Standing with Big Pharma
“My opponents keep standing with Big Pharma as opposed to [with] Granite Staters who are making gut-wrenching decisions between buying their life-saving prescription medication or paying their other bills. And the American people have been saying for years, this has to stop. Big Pharma keeps spending more and more on advertising and sending two lobbyists to Washington for every member of Congress. And what voters really need to think about here is that my opponents all stand with Big Pharma and support these ridiculous arguments that pharma is making while it is making record profits.”
On Chuck Morse Opposing Medicare Negotiating Drug Prices
“Just yesterday, Chuck Morse told you that he didn’t think Medicare should negotiate for prescription drugs — once again showing that he would stand with corporate special interests like Big Pharma and Big Oil.”
On Don Bolduc Being Too Extreme For New Hampshire
“I don’t know who is going to emerge as the Republican nominee. But I do know that Don Bolduc is too extreme for New Hampshire. He has said he wants to defund the Department of Homeland Security. He said he is open to abolishing the FBI. He said people should and this is a quote, ‘rejoice’ – those are his words – when the Supreme Court overturned Roe, and he’s opposed two critical pieces of bipartisan legislation that many Republican Senators voted for, the infrastructure bill and the innovation and competition act, which, among other things, not only makes us more secure economically, improves our national security, and helps us address the long term causes of inflation. He’s just way out of step with Republicans, Democrats and independents in New Hampshire.”
